Modulation

Modulation is the process by which some characteristic of one wave is varied in accordance with another wave. It is also known as superimposing a low frequency information component on high frequency carrier signal.

Why I'm tackling this kind of topic to you? I'm giving you this topic to basically understand how communication systems work.

When I was I child I ask myself how this kind of device (telephone) transfer what I'm saying to a person that is far from me. In seconds my voice entered in a wire that can hear me in other location. That's amazing especially today that we mostly use wireless communication.

There are two signals involved. One is the modulating signal, which is as signal that causes a vibration of some characteristic of a carrier. It represents the message. Another one is the carrier that carriers no information.

TYPES OF MODULATION
  1. AM
  2. FM
  3. PM
